The water well is drilled using the selected technique. The well's depth varies depending on water availability and user needs. As drilling proceeds, drilling cuttings are removed, and data on depth and geological formation are recorded.

Once the desired water level is reached, a well casing is installed to prevent well walls from collapsing and to prevent water contamination. The casing is typically made of steel or PVC pipes.
