Drillar

Drillar, an Argentine drilling contractor for the mining industry based in Pocito, San Juan, has surpassed 47,000 meters drilled in 149 holes since November 2023.

The work was done in nine campaigns at seven projects in San Juan, Salta and La Rioja, several of them at high altitude: Los Azules (McEwen Copper), El Pachón (Glencore) and Altar (Aldebaran Resources) in San Juan; Taca Taca and Vendaval (First Quantum Minerals) and El Quevar (Silex Argentina) in Salta; and Sapitos (First Quantum Minerals) in La Rioja.

More than 90% of the meters are diamond core drilling (DDH) with core recovery. The company has also drilled water wells with rotary rigs at Taca Taca and El Pachón, and geotechnical holes at El Pachón.

Drillar operates an owned fleet of nine rigs —Boart Longyear LF160 and LF90D, Maqpower H600 and FY1000 and FY680 rotary rigs— and is implementing an integrated management system under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
